Final Reflection

Semaite Abiy

Increased their awareness of their own strengths and areas for growth
In all of the Activities that I have performed for CAS I have found myself growing and strengthening in areas of charisma, understating, and patience as I had multiple opportunist s to work with kids and people lest fortunate than I

 Undertaken new challenges
For the Duration of my time working with children and in the programs for CAS I have been able to deal with new situations daily such as adapting to new cultures and people.

 Planned and initiated activities
When I was first put into chess club leadership position, I took it very seriously  and organized all the times for which people should play, and as well as teaching the younger novices in chess clubs the different roles and movements of the piece

Worked collaboratively with others
Chess has helped me collaborative with others taught me how to be respectful towards my opponents and respectful when I lost  is a very interesting game and I always love to play it, so  when the opportunity came for me to play it even more and improve my, skills. I sure took it, to become better, and when i found out that it also counted as creativity, I was even more pleased, and sure would like to do chess again next year to get better and have
for my first match against Mathew  it was a very interesting game with many intriguing turns with many controversial moves i would have been rather foolish not to accept, given the position/material + of a Pawn, albeit isolated, doubled. And, your 2 B's vs my 2 Kn's. However, I am not sure that the Bishop pair is any advantage in this Pawn structure. Have never played 2 B's vs 2 Kn's in an endgame that I can recall. Nonetheless, Black has no opportunities to better himself, given the lack of a complete blunder on White's part, and I do not believe that will occur. So, I accept your gracious offer, given that I am unproven here, Black, and lower rated.
Mathew, thank you for being a good and conversational opponent. I wish you well in the other games here and will be rutting for you.

Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities
Again through out my years of service for CAS I have shown commitment to  all my activates, Chess, Tennis Track and the orphanage that I visit monthly for the past 2 to 3 years.

Engaged with issues of global importance
For the years I was committed to MUN A Model United Nations (MUN) conference is an authentic simulation of the United Nations itself. You take on the role as a delegate or an ambassador to the United Nations and debate current world problems and global issues. Adults haven’t yet found the way to solve many of the world’s problems, so now it’s your turn to learn to cooperate with others to find solutions to problems such as hunger, war, environmental damage, displaced peoples (refugees), disease and the lack of respect for basic human rights. MUN requires a great deal of commitment and self-motivation. It also requires a passionate belief in the power of debate to make the world a better place.

MUN enables you to develop diplomatic skills, learn patience and tolerance, listen to others,
Develop positive debating tactics that lead to conflict resolution.  This also enables us to be prepared to deal with issues of global importance, such as the topics we debated in Barcelona such as the annexation of Crimea

Considered the ethical implications of their actions
When I when to the Kittingela Orphanage/School I learn that my actions have far reaching effects. For In the spam of a week my ideas of Kenya and people changed very quickly. It began, when I was assigned to the Kittingela Orphanage/School. I was told by my teachers to teach, English, Mathematics, and Science to children between the ages of 6-12, and as you could tell I was not overlay enthusiastic on going. With indifference in each step as I made it to the school's gate, I walked in and was surprised to be greeted by the enthusiastic smiles and hugs of children, with tattered clothes, broken smiles and dirty hands. In this moment I realized some people no matter in which situation that they are in would still treat others better than themselves. Now the only question I could ask my self is did I really have the world figured out.
As the week progressed when I taught and played with the children they won me over yet again with their immense intellectual curiosity asking countless questions about the world outside of there own, as well as their great ambitions to do and see things they had never done before, even more so than me, and last it was their charismatic nature to make you smile at any given unpredictable moment.
So not only had I affected them but they had also had affected me. And the Ethical impactions where that I had changed their lives forever

Developed new skills

In all of the activates and actions that I performed for CAS I learnt new skills annually such as adapting to cultures, improving my communication skills and most of all my patience as I have timelessly dedicated my time to children less fortunate than I
