IMUN

For MUN A Model United Nations (MUN) conference is an authentic simulation of the United Nations itself. You take on the role as a delegate or an ambassador to the United Nations and debate current world problems and global issues. Adults haven’t yet found the way to solve many of the world’s problems, so now it’s your turn to learn to cooperate with others to find solutions to problems such as hunger, war, environmental damage, displaced peoples (refugees), disease and the lack of respect for basic human rights. MUN requires a great deal of commitment and self-motivation. It also requires a passionate belief in the power of debate to make the world a better place.

MUN enables you to  develop diplomatic skills, learn patience and tolerance, listen to others,
develop positive debating tactics that lead to conflict resolution.

And this is exactly the first things we where abel to tap on in the first meeting of IMUN we talked about what is to be expected of us when we go to Portugal and we also tapped on to the topic of our fund-raising for the children's orphanage/school so as you can see for our first meeting you can see that we only staring to get back into the grove of things
and for our second meeting we did a group building activity.

For this we also contribute enomrasly to an orphanage right down the road from use myself i have donated a personal bycel but still their is work that need to be done . Twenty children are still sleeping on the cement floor of a single room. The money that should be going towards the children’s health and education is instead forced to go towards the rent of the complex. The only way to solve these problems is to continue our efforts in raising funds

By the end of week we are to meet in a practice conference to determine who will go to germany i can not wait as MUN is something I've always been interested in. I did it once in eighth grade and I found it to my liking. Thus, this year I decided to do it again. MUN basically is a learning environment for students that resembles the United Nations. In MUN, we do the things done in the UN. We are all trained to write, read, debate and support resolution, solutions to worldwide problems. We are put into groups and each of us as given countries we are to become delegates of. We represent these countries at the general assembly during the MUN conferences. It's a great experience. I also want to greater develop my my debate skills by allowing myself to feel a sense of calm i have no doubt that this is going to be a good year.
